Dr. Mohammed Jameel
Joining the AFC Urgent Care Team as Medical Director is Dr. Mohammed Jameel. Dr. Jameel comes to AFC with an undergraduate degree in Medicine & Surgery from the Deccan College of Medical Sciences. He obtained his doctorate in Family Medicine from LSU and fulfilled his residency studies in Family Medicine at E.A. Conway Hospital in Louisiana.
Dr. Jameel has worked in the fields of Microbiology, Neurology and Gastroenterology doing research. He has had numerous articles published in professional publications. His clinical experience is extensive in both Family Medicine and Urgent Care. He has spent his career engaged in a wide range of clinical services as physician and Lead physician of Patient First and Choice One Urgent Care.
Dr. Jameel is married with three beautiful children. He enjoys spending time with family, travelling and playing Cricket.
Dr. Abdul Momin Tak
Dr. Tak brings over 20 years of extensive experience in acute internal medicine, urgent care and emergency medicine. After receiving his medical degree from Government Medical College in Srinagar, India, Dr. Tak completed his residency in internal medicine at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY. He is Board eligible in Internal Medicine and a member of the American Medical Association (AMA). Dr. Tak is also a Civil Surgeon, certified by the USCIS, to perform Immigration Physicals at our Center.
In his free time, Dr. Tak enjoys traveling and classical Indian music.
Dr. Raj Manickam
Dr. Manickam is a Board Certified Pediatrician with more than 30 years of experience. He is a graduate of the University of Madras Medical College in India and completed his residencies at Sinai Hospital and St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore and at Atlantic City Hospital in New Jersey. He was chief resident in Pediatrics at St Agnes.
Dr. Manickam is board eligible in Internal Medicine and has worked for many years in the Emergency Departments at Baltimore Washington Medical Center and St. Agnes.
Dr. Jacinth Brooks
Dr. Jacinth Brooks received her Bachelor of Science in Biology From Howard University in Washington DC. She also received her Medical Degree from Howard University.
Her Internship and Residency were in General Pediatrics at the Howard University Hospital.
She has been a practicing physician since 1990.
Dr. Michael Williams
A native of Montgomery County, Maryland, Dr. Williams received his undergraduate degree from University of Maryland College Park in Biology. He graduated from Howard University Medical School and did his residency at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida.
He has extensive experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine and Occupational Health.
He lives in Prince George’s County with his family. He enjoys cycling, running and travel.
Dr. Jerry Ann Hunter
Prior to joining AFC, Dr. Hunter was founder and Medical Director of a private urgent care center in Elkridge, MD. Before Dr. Hunter started her own urgent care practice, she worked as an urgent care physician at a number of facilities in Maryland. She has additionally served as a primary care physician with Patuxent Medical Group.
Dr. Hunter has been practicing medicine since 1993. She received her Medical Degree in Internal Medicine from the University of Maryland and completed her Residency in Internal Medicine at the Washington Hospital Center. She additionally earned a Master’s degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health. Her earlier education includes a Masters degree in Secondary education from Catholic University of America and she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Bacteriology from the University of Texas.
